Hi, my name is Ute.
I was born in Austria, and my name is pronounced (oo-teh). My name does not refer to the Ozzie car - Coupe' Utility Ute!
As the two names may be considered the same?, who would have guessed on my arrival in Australia that I would be so famous for discovering and sharing my name with an all-time renowned car? Now that is just Hilarious. Don't you think?

After graduating from RMIT University with a BA in Textile Design, I began my career freelancing and designing for many well-known brands in fashion, bed linen and homewares. A six-year stint as the in-house designer for Sportscraft before establishing my Studio Camilion Designs in 1995 and was located in the heart of Smith st Fitzroy, Melbourne, for eighteen years. Till relocating to the outer east of Melbourne.
To explore avenues for my own Camilion Designs branded products, freelance, and work from a repurposed portable office, "The Design Cube".
